Armenian boxer Anahit Royan started her journey in combat sports in 2009 when joining her local karate club "Docando. After several months of hard training she became champion of Armenia and got an invitation for the world championship in the USA however at that time her gym got closed and had to relocate from her village to Vanadzor to find a new gym.
In Vanadzor she meet her boxing coach (Vic Darchinyan) and was impressed, at that moment of time she was 15 years old and was not so confident on changing sports into boxing but she went ahead, through several months of hard training she became the bantamweight category champion of Armenia, all of this hard work payed of as she got selected to represent the national team!
With a strong faith and her parents support she kept moving forward right away to represent her country in european and world championships. She made her professional debut at the age of 18 and currently she has a record of 6W-1L.
Annie is currently training in Dubai,UAE to continue her professional training and keep moving forward towards her dreams, "Boxing has shown me the world and given me a life experience" she says.
